The schedule allows for a 25 minute warm up in designated spaces. Volunteers will notify periodically of the time remaining.

NEW in 2026: Dedicated AMAA Logistics staff will monitor performance space and warm-ups to ensure smooth flow between spaces. Please keep eyes up for queues from these folks.

There is NO Retreat at this event. Groups may depart once they have packed, post-performance.

Groups are encouraged to watch as many shows as possible! Performers and those with wristbands are permitted into spectator seats, free of charge.

Safety

Anyone ‘backstage’ in the Nutrien Western Event Centre or in GMC Stadium MUST be either a performing members, staff with wristband or support personal with a wristband.

This is for everyone's safety. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Performing groups should move through the event site AS A GROUP. It will be extremely busy backstage, and will greatly help event volunteers if groups remain together at all times.

Warm Ups

Note: IT IS CRITICAL THAT GROUPS DO NOT ENTER THE WARM UP SPACE PRIOR TO THEIR DESIGNATED TIME. This is in the interest of everyone's safety by reducing the chaos in the space. GROUPS THAT VIOLATE THIS MAY BE DISQUALIFIED AND/OR HAVE PRIVILEGES REVOKED AT FUTURE EVENTS.

Guards may use speakers in warm up - Provided it does not overtake the room for other warmups and ongoing performances.

Percussion and Winds warm ups are scheduled to not overlap. Please be respectful of times so that all groups get their best warm up ahead of performing.

Performers with Multiple Groups

It’s very exciting that our community offers multiple opportunities for members to perform! Although AMAA has tried to separate groups with shared members in the performance order, we know that it will be a rush for those members.

  • Quick Changes can occur in the washrooms near Altalink Hall. Members can pre-set their items here ahead of their performances.

  • Groups should NOT cross the timing line until all members are in the performance gym

  • MC script has lots of content to share - be sure to take a breath and get into the zone

Any day-of concerns can be shared with the AMAA Logistical Liaisons Kareen, Sam, Bonnie or Grace upon arrival on-site.

Sound & Script

Performance Music needs to be uploaded via CompetitionSuite

Script Spiels can be updated with the Mid-Season Change Form

Updates to music and spiels no later than Friday, January 30
