Concession including frozen yogurt, hotdogs, fries and taco in bag
The first competition of the season begins at 1 pm. We ask that your group arrives at Magrath Junior Senior High School between 11:00 - 12:30am.
Guard equipment must be unloaded through the performers entrance - behind the school, accessible in the parking lot. Site plan attached.
Percussion equipment may be unloaded through the theatre doors. Please connect with volunteers on-site for directions.
All equipment should be dropped off by 12:00 noon
NEW in 2026:
The schedule allows for a 10 minute body warm up in the band room and 8 minute equipment warm up in the audi gym. Groups should bring all their equipment to the audi gym hallway to take from warm up to performance.
Dedicated AMAA Logistics staff will monitor performance space and warm-ups to ensure smooth flow between spaces. Please keep eyes up for queues from these folks.
Timing Line & Announcement 2: The unit will wait at the timing line until the timing judge indicates they can pass it. Once they pass this line their interval time will begin.
A staff member will need to remain with the timing judge to confirm when the unit is ready to perform, at which point announcement 2 will be queued, followed by audio track (guards & winds).
Quick Changes can occur in the performance gym change rooms between shows
There is NO Retreat at this event. Groups may depart once they have packed, post-performance.
Groups are encouraged to watch performances - no wristbands required for spectator seats.

Sound Check
Please have one or two representatives join our sound team at the main sound booth in the gym at 11:30am for a sound check/volume setting of performance music.
Warm Ups
Note: IT IS CRITICAL THAT GROUPS DO NOT ENTER THE WARM UP SPACE PRIOR TO THEIR DESIGNATED TIME. This is in the interest of everyone's safety by reducing the chaos in the space. GROUPS THAT VIOLATE THIS MAY BE DISQUALIFIED AND/OR HAVE PRIVILEGES REVOKED AT FUTURE EVENTS.
Guards may use speakers in warm up - Provided it does not overtake the room for other warmups and ongoing performances.
Performers with Multiple Groups
It’s very exciting that our community offers multiple opportunities for members to perform! Although AMAA has tried to separate groups with shared members in the performance order, we know that it will be a rush for those members.
Quick Changes can occur in the performance gym change rooms between shows
Groups should NOT cross the timing line until all members are in the performance gym
MC script has lots of content to share - be sure to take a breath and get into the zone
Any day-of concerns can be shared with the AMAA Logistical Liaisons Kareen, Sam, Bonnie or Grace upon arrival on-site.
Sound & Script
Performance Music needs to be uploaded via CompetitionSuite
Script Spiels can be updated with the Mid-Season Change Form
Updates to music and spiels no later than Friday, January 30
